STAMFORD – Earlier this week, it was revealed that Sen. Dick Blumenthal is trying to intervene in ongoing negotiations between Comcast and the YES Network. The YES Network is demanding Comcast increase payments by 33 percent to carry the network in Connecticut.
“Dick Blumenthal—who knows nothing about business—has shamelessly injected himself into a private-sector negotiation as means for more self-promotion,” said Wolf. “Blumenthal foolishly thinks the corporation will absorb these higher costs instead of pass them on to consumers. That’s not how the free-market works, Dick. Blumenthal continues to think that government is the solution to every problem. That’s what happens when you spend 30 years in politics. I’m running to stop this nonsense and get real results for our state.”
