STAMFORD – Last week, Olympian, businessman, and Republican candidate for U. S. Senate, August Wolf injected $100,000 into his campaign. This financial commitment highlights Wolf’s determination to defeat Dick Blumenthal in November’s election for the United States Senate. By substantially increasing his war chest, Wolf demonstrates he is the most viable Republican to retire career politician Dick Blumenthal.
“I’m putting $100,000 of my retirement money into this race because it’s that important,” said Wolf. “Dick Blumenthal is a liar and he has failed Connecticut. The people of our state—both Republicans and Democrats—are angry with business as usual in Washington D.C. I’m going to fight like hell to stop this shameless self-promoter who puts himself ahead while the people get left behind.”
Wolf’s financial resources will complement his statewide grassroots infrastructure. For months, local leaders have organized and promoted his message of limited government, pro-growth policies, and common sense solutions. Wolf is best poised to take the fight to ultra-liberal Dick Blumenthal.
“I am not going anywhere,” said Wolf. “We need real leaders in Washington. There is too much at stake to idly sit on the sidelines and allow Dick Blumenthal to avoid accountability for a 30-year career of failure.”
With the Republican convention just over a month away, Wolf looks forward to uniting Republicans and bringing the fight to Dick Blumenthal.
